In the past people have shared links to articles on the subject of note taking and I just found a very interesting one which makes it easier to better value what CintaNotes does. I'm pretty sure that this post predates CintaNotes but in short it describes how it is possible to have a system that works similar to CintaNotes but is based out of a single text file. If nothing else this might be useful for the people looking a Linux alternative or a 100% future proof platform independent alternative if they are willing to tolerate the personal overhead.

Thanks for sharing this link - it is really quite interesting experience of simple and elegant autonomous note taking.
Pretty shure it would be interesting for Linux users.
Thanks!
