Just a thought but to be able to save a file in dat format would be helpful for example if one was using a bb thread on xyz topic and xyz thread had 500 post they could just clip the needed post and save them all to an exported xyz.dat file, that way they could import xyz when needed.

I have just started using zen cart, and the specific template I am using has it own thread so I was looking for a helper program that would enable me to clip the various post of interest from the support thread - Since there are so many different post and threads on different topics ect it would be very, very helpful to archive separate topics in there own dat file for future reference.

Most post questions or answers are 15 lines or less so your little program is custom made for this application I.M.O.

Thank You

Thomas

Hello and welcome to the forum!
CintaNotes as for now doesn't support multiple *.dat files (although its on the roadmap, #76). Now you can just export the needed notes to XML, and re-import them back. CintaNotes supports exporting selected notes to XML.
Use tags to separate notes while clipping: after you clipped all notes from a particular topic, go to the "Untagged" section of the tag sidebar, press Ctrl+A and then F4, and add a tag that suits the topic.
After that you can select the tags on the tag sidebar, press Ctrl+A and then F11. Choose XML as file type.

If you would like to speed up #76, change this topic name according to the rule here, and attach a poll.

Hope this helps!
