Hi all ...
I've been monitoring this app for years now and the minute I saw SN sync, I payed the full price and I'm happy about it. This app is worth every penny. Great job.
I migrated about 1500 notes from EN to CN. I can see that CN is chocking on it and it crashed 3 times. The status bar shows 'uploading new notes' and it stays like that for over 30 minutes. I'll see how things go today.
Thank you.

I have also been monitoring CintaNotes for a long time and feel that with 2.0 it's come of age. So, I've finally "splashed the cash" and look forward to future developments. Well done Alex and thanks for all your hard work!

Issues encountered ...
- I populated CN with about 770 notes.
- Starting a new db locally and syncing caused CN to hang 4 times downloading notes. Every time, I had to cancel and restart. It just hangs randomly for over 15 minutes without changes in note counter.
- For 5 times now, it crashes silently. I believe these are related to SN sync set at every 10 mins.

Not necessarily what I expected, but I will be more than happy to assist.

Thank you.

I can not confirm. All three links work for me. Private & business license order, also the bitsdujour promotion.

Thanks I just tried again and it worked fine this time around. Previously I had tried 3 times with a decent wait in the middel before posting it, glad to see that the problem has been fixed.

Alex,

i can still reproduce this with the final release. I was able to strip down the steps a little more. I can even reproduce it with a fresh empty database.

Testdata:
* Übersicht
http://winfwiki.wi-fom.de/index.php/%C3 ... das_iPhone
Wikitude

Steps to reproduce:
* exit a running instance
* install my settings-file
* delete the existing database, so CN will create a new one
* start CN
* CN should be minimized to the tray now
* open an editor (i use pspad) with the above test-data
* select the three lines
* press Ctrl+F12
* press Alt+Enter
* edit the creation date to 01.07.2010 (local german settings)
* press ENTER
* press Ctrl+S
* wait until the "Note saving..." message goes away
* press ESC

I now get the bug =>
class db::DatabaseException
SQLite Error 19:
column uid is not unique

I'll send my settings file and the debug log via mail.

Thomas

After originally not being able to sync my database from home, I tried at work an the sync completed successfully.
I tried the newer beta at different times and eventually the sync completed (in one run).

In the logs of the unsuccessful syncs after a very small number of successful request (result.status=[200], result.errorState=[0]), I see that all other requests end up with result.status=[0], result.errorState=[1].
I have a feeling this is either some kind of connectivity issue (though I was of course connected to the internet while the service request failed), or because of the simplenote's servers' status.

It's been a hectic day and i really haven't had much of a chance to dab with the new CintaNotes 2,
but i didn't want to let the day go by without sending out my KUDOS! to Alex and all the hardworking folks of CN team! :)

This SimpleNote sync feature was a long time coming but it was well worth the wait.

Thank you!

Yesterday everything was normal! Today CintaNotes crashes when I try to copy text. I reinstalled Cintanotes - no way. I can not use Cintanotes v2 anymore. :(
I'm back to version v1.85 and everything is back in order. :?:

Hi and huge thanks for supporting us!

I confirm the sync feature problems, unfortunately this is due to the fact that the release date was fixed and we had to rush it out a bit.
Soon we'll issue an update than should fix the crashes and make it more stable.
Even later we are planning an update to increase the performance of SN sync.

In the meantime, here's a quick workaround to fix the crash problems:
In cintanotes.settings set notebook.disconnect.enabled to 0.
