Just bought CintaNotes Personal - Weird experience

Hi there,

since version 1.4, I'm using CintaNotes as a Freeware. Today I bought a license via BitsDuJour, which does it's payments via PayPro. I had to verify my purchase on phone, which I found kind of weired, because I never had to do that before. It's pretty weired to receive a phone call from Ontario if you are in Germany.^^

Nevermind, looking forward to use all the great pro functionality, I just felt the urge to tell you about it. :)

Me too. They initially declined the transactions because the phone I provided did not answer at home. I had to go back and give them my Cell which they called 7 hours later to authorize the transaction.
I appreciate taking the extra effort to protect customers, but if this can be done without this hassle, why do it this way. I have never had to go through this with much larger purchases whether through my bank, PayPal, or google wallet.

It's actually not BDJ, its us who are working with PayPro.
Yes, PayPro is a bit over-zealous and paranoid with its fraudcheck.
However we can't replace it quickly, since many processes need to be integrated:
license generation, emailing, etc.
But we'll be looking for other options.

I would like to add that PayPro is really damaging your business. I love CintaNotes and these morons made me think about looking for an alternative. I was like milliseconds from canceling my order when I received: Please send us a phone number that we can reach you at. We will call you to verify the order and process it promptly. This is the first flaw I have ever experienced with CintaNotes and there is no way I am going to speak with them. It seems they are going to bully me with postponing my order: If you wish to expedite the process, please reply to this email with a phone number that we can reach you at and we will call to verify the order. I am curious how much time are they going to give me to consider my purchase.

Even buying many and many times more expensive software is about a redirect to here is your license key, please copy/paste it into the application.

Exchanging emails with PayPro and complaining here, I spent considerably more time purchasing CintaNotes than I was willing to. Normally, it should not take more than 30 seconds. Not to mention I still have not received the registration key and I cannot proceed with the planned reorganization of my notes. Please, consider getting rid of PayPro, they are making your customers angry. Thank you.

phusick, thanks a lot for sharing your experience!
We are already researching other options.
Also we'll try to negotiate with PayPro and ask to use a less strict workflow for our orders.

I have experience of online purchase when I just enter my credit card info, confirm via email, and get authorized without phone calls. Thanks for sharing experience. Sounds frightening :s

Seems that PayPro have gotten much better now.
