[Q]: is it legal to use CintaNotes free in a corporate env?

I'm just curious about this: is CN free legally usable in a corporate environment (i.e. at work)?
...as far as I can understand, this is NO, since I would need a "PRO" license. Is this right?

Thanks.

Alex,

the homepage has actually become out-dated in various aspects. I remember some changes, that were completed because of user requests. Two major problems i see right now, is that (a) it is not clear what "free" is supposed to mean and as Nova asked, in which environment the free license is valid. Second (b) the links to the roadmap and the forum are placed way down the page. Without scrolling there, you'll never notice. I understand there are plans to introduce a new web design, so this might be superseded.

@Nova: As far as i know the free license can be used in both environments. The PRO version unlocks extra features, to ensure CN's development can be financed.

Thomas

You can use the free version without limitations, also at work.
But please consider buying a Pro version, since only via selling licenses we can support further program development.
It is only $25 and will help ensure the application doesn't go dead. Thank you!

Thomas, thanks for pointing out these issues. You're right, we are preparing an updated web site and a new license which will supersede the current versions. I'll take extra care that in the new version all these questions have a definite answer directly on the site.
