respect to your own customs

Postby Orodeus » Wed Sep 25, 2013 6:48 am

Recently, it was announced proudly that: "Editor: When no text is selected, text formatting shortcuts now toggle formatting for current word only and not whole paragraph"

I have been doing programming and debugging for more than a decade, I have worked with various old and new software, so I know and I use global text editing standards, but since 3 years ago , when I began to use Cintanotes I accepted and learned your editing tricks. Suddenly you changed it, and now for me that use Cintanotes for 6 hours per day, everyday; it is really hard to change my habit. further more, I believe the way it was (changing all paragraph by one shortcut ), was much more user friendly, specially for titles of paragraphs.

I understand all softwares do upgrading and change the way they work, but usually this evolution is step by step and at first they add new feature but let the previous one remain there for a while (or forever). I believe you could have easily added an option to let us decide to use old or new way.

at the end I should add, I love Cintanotes, it has changed my life ...

Thanks

It was changed to make text formatting behaviour more standart. You can read the discussion that considered this as a bug here - http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/151 ... paragraph/
Despite this we totally agree that new formatting became inconvenient for some users - we've got already several complaints about it.

There is a suggestion on Roadmap to return old behaviour as a new key combination. What do you think about it?
You can join the discussion and vote for this feature here - http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/258767-/
i'm sure together we can reach the decision that would be acceptable for everyone.

Thanks for your response.
well, regarding this new change, I have checked and voted in roadmap; but since I am sure CintaNote will continue to grow and getting better, here I just wanted to put emphasize on the general fact that most softwares introducing a new feature, keep their old customs for a while .
Thanks very much
