newbie question - search within a note

Postby alf329 » Mon Sep 30, 2013 5:21 pm

hi

just getting to grips with this question. No luck with looking in the forum.

I double click a note to edit it. I want to search the note for some text.

The workaround I've devised:

I enter the text I'm looking for at the top of the the note, highlight it and press CTRL-F3 to see each instance.

Is there an easier way to search within a (long) note?

cheers

Not that I am aware of - and I am too missing a 'search within the note' from time to time.
I would not only like to be able to jump from word to word but also would like to highlight all occurrences of the search term at once.

If we both aren't overlooking something it's time for a feature request on the roadmap.

Hello alf329, ChrisCN!

Unfortunately now it is the only way to make it.
But i think this algorithm is a little bit easier - enter text for search in the search box at the top of the editor, open needed note, and then press F3 to see all matches sequentially one by one.

It is already there - http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/316 ... it-dialog/
It's planned to be realized in next versions.

Thanks!
