Hi all,

it's time to release a new beta. I confess that not all fixes are already implemented -
namely, we're still at fixing the strange editor behavior regarding Alt key and Enter key.
However, I think that having more eyes at the already implemented fixes and enhancements
will greatly improve the product's quality. Thanks in advance for checking it out!

In this version:

Enhancements:

• Added F2 as a shortcut for "Edit" command.
  
• Improved tray icon click behavior
  (bring CN window to foreground if it is obscured by other windows.)

Fixes:

• Editor: exception when undoing bullet list edit.
  
• Simplenote sync: CN could hang on exit
  
• Simplenote sync: sync could hang.
  
• Simplenote sync: CN used to reset SN's Markdown flag.
  
• Tag autocomplete could appear partly off-screen.
  
• Edit window creeped to the right when taskbar was on left.
  
• Backup didn't start on time.
  
• CN could hang on startup while fixing DB integrity errors.

Thanks for the update. The tray icon now works great! Have all the issues with bullet/numbered lists been fixed in this beta?

The tests I just did with clipping text with bullets and numbers looked ok. Thanks!

Another example of the bullet problem:

Enter a few lines of items, select them all and format as a bullet list:
* one
* two
* three
* four
* five

Cut the third item and then paste it after the first one. The bullets will be mucked up in the second and third rows.

Actually, this problem still exists.

One other related request: If I select a number of lines, some of which are blank (i.e. whitespace only, not just empty), the bullets are applied also to the blank lines. It would be best (and compatible with Word) if the blank lines were left alone.

BTW, the first three bytes of help.htm are "Ctr" that shouldn't be there (also in 2.5.0). Just so you know someone looks at the help files

Great to hear that the tray icon is now ok No, of course not all issues have been fixed. Only the ones which were listed.

Yes, this is still in our todo. It's not quite as trivial to fix as it seems, so we're planning this fix for 2.6.

I agree, added this to our tracker. Will also plan it for 2.6
