I've installed Cintanotes 2.5 (not the portable version!)
I've copied my license.key file from my other computer to the directory of CintaNotes (C:\Program Files (x86)\CintaNotes)

But I don't see the the cintanotes.settings file in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\CintaNotes.... :(

see attachment

How's that possible and how to solve this....

Hi awm,
It is in %APPDATA%/CintaNotes.
In Windows 7/8 the Program Files folder is not writable for programs which don't require admin rights to run.

Thanks for the quick response.
I've found the settings file in: C:\users\Gebruiker\AppData\Roaming\Cintanotes

Am I right that that is the correct directory for the settings file...

An other question: Where's my back up folder? It is not in the folder mentioned above and as you can see not in the folder you see in the attachtment

Yes, you are right.

An other question: Where's my back up folder? It is not in the folder mentioned above and as you can see not in the folder you see in the attachtment

It should be in the same folder as your cintanotes.settings file, unless you've changed the "backup.folder" parameter in this same settings file.
Please note that CN 2.5 has a bug which leads to backup being created only after 125 minutes of CN running. Please update to the latest CN2.5.1 which has just been released and is available for download from the program's homepage.
Also to make sure that backup indeed has been created, execute the "Backup/Backup Now" command. After that the "backup" folder must be created.

Please let me know if this helps, thanks!
