I don't recall reading this on the website (although I certainly could have missed it). As I get deeper into Cintaland, I'm really enjoying the simplicity, speed, and solidity (tried for three "S's" there) of this software. But I have a question. I notice that apparently I can enter anything in a note and just hit ESC when I'm closing the Editor window. I do not need to save, I do not need to press Ctrl+Enter or Ctrl+S. It's just saved immediately.... so it seems.
Can you someone confirm this?

Re: Just confirming: Cintanotes saves every note automatical
Hi Orson,
Correct, CN saves notes automatically, there is no manual save function. Unusual for non-note taking programs in Windows land (where you usually have to go into the File menu and save things automatically), but not unusual in the note taking program side of things (ie CN is not the only program which does it this way).

Re: Just confirming: Cintanotes saves every note automatical
Hi Orson, thanks for the question, and Chris thanks for helping out!
Initially hitting ESC didn't save the changes. But too many people were complaining about this,
so we changed the behavior: now the only way to close the editor without saving the changes
is by hitting the 'Cancel' button, or Alt+C.
Note that you can also save the note manually without closing the editor by hitting Ctrl+S.

Alex,
This would suggest that it would be a good practice to use Ctrl+S every so often if I am leaving a note in progress open for a long time -- like when I'm continuing to add to a note. Make sense?

I guess it would, especially if your system is unstable and could crash at any minute
