Multiple log.n.txt files

Postby ems048 » Thu Oct 29, 2015 2:19 am

Hello forum members

I seem to be getting more and more log.#.txt files since I've starting using Ver 3.0.1 (albeit I love the attachment feature and I'm using the feature to the fullest extent) and the file sizes vary from 78 K to .5 Mb ...

Are these files critical to the Cintanotes working properly ?? Do I need to copy them over along with my db files when I back up my data ??

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi ems048,

No, they are not critical to the correct working of CN and you can ignore them. What are the contents of the files? If they are errors, Alex may be able to fix them. I reported a specific log message in v3.0 (viewtopic.php?p=10374#p10374) which was caused by the attachments feature, and which was fixed in 3.0.1.

Regards,

Chris is correct - the contents of the log files is important.
Also it's important to make sure that debug logging is not enabled in Help/Debug.

Thanks to you both ... I had debug logging enabled. I will keep an eye out for any more log files/errors ...

Thanks again

No problem!
The debug logging was turned on probably because you upgraded from one of the beta versions (which have debug logging turned on by default).
