Hello,
Thanks for your message!
In order for tags to be synced, they must be used in one of the synced notes. Are you sure they all are used?
Thanks!

Well the notes are all in my synced tab. I'm not sure what you mean are they all used. They used to sync but some tags have actually disapeared from the phone.

I meant that tags assigned only to notes in non-synced sections are not synced.
In order for a tag to be synced, it must be assigned to a note which is uploaded to Simplenote.

Yes, the tags are in my syncing section and the section has been synced. The note is showing up on the phone, and the tag came across to the phone and it is in the note but it does not show up on the tags list on the phone which by default are in no particular order that I can see. If I go into EDIT tags, then the tags are alphabetical but it even though the tag is in the note and the note is on my Android the Tag is not in the list.

Are you using the official Simplenote Android app? What is the exact name of the tag that is not showing?

Are you sure that the tag is not in the list? Since tag positions are random (who designed that??), it can be in any place.

The tag is for sure not in the list. I was previously told that the tag cloud could not be sorted. Only the notes can be sorted by alphabet or last modified etc.

If you create a new note with this tag, sync it up, and open it on Android, does it show the note as not having any tags?

No, it shows up with the tag in the note but it is not pinned (Not sure what this does). The tag is not shown in the tag cloud on the phone, only on the computer.

Yes, I have found the tag there, and on the phone now..... As a result of this experience I deleted all but 7 of my tags. They are too hard to find on Android, not even a tag search. So now I have a samll list of tags and note the following.

1) In "Edit tags" on Android - Some tags show zero note count but on Cinta and Simplenote there are 10 notes in the tag. I have synced it 3 or 4 times to no avail. Is this something that will work itself through eventually?

2) There is a tag called #section/Sync - Can I delete this tag? It seems to have all notes in it and shows up in Simplenote and on Android but not in Cinta

Seems to me this is a bug in the Android client, since Cinta and web UI display correct number. I suggest contacting SN support to resolve this.
Deleting all notes from the SN account, emtying trash, and then re-uploading all notes could also help.
The sequence of steps should be as follows:
1 - export notebook to XML
2 - clear SN account, empty trash
3 - create a NEW notebook, import XML
4 - setup sync and upload

2) There is a tag called #section/Sync - Can I delete this tag? It seems to have all notes in it and shows up in Simplenote and on Android but not in Cinta

No, don't delete this tag. Since SN doesn't support sections, Cinta converts sections to tags upon syncing.
