Simplenotes desktop app now on for Windows and Linux

I don't know if it's just me, but the app is excruciatingly slow even on a modest number of 1000 notes..

From what i read on their Google+ page about the Linux version, it sounds like they put out a beta.

Good question!

New products such as these, are not usually 100% perfect out of the box.
It's a start, but it might take a long while before it can catch up with Cintanotes (or Resophnotes)!

With all this time that it took them to put this one out for Windows... i think their priorities are elsewhere.

Well, that might give CN a chance to become a de-facto standard SN client on Windows All that is needed is to make SN sync available in the free version. We're contemplating this at the moment..
