Hi Alex,

thanks for the latest update.

* i confirm the issue with the rules dialog fixed
* i like the option to hide rules notification as the UI appears cleaner
* I am glad i can now decide to not import rules :)
* Drag & Drop of sections works smooth. However i've noticed there is no blocking icon, when the mouse cursor moves to areas where it is not possible to drop.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks a lot for taking a look at the beta!
About lack of blocking icon - since the movement of the dragged tab is not completely free in 2D, we deemed the blocking icon unnecessary in this case.

Hi Alex,

I do not see an "editor.tagsfield.autoaddspace" entry in the cintanotes settings file, nor do I see an option to turn off the space in the settings menu. What's the procedure for turning off automatic adding of space to the Tags field? Should I manually add the "editor.tagsfield.autoaddspace" entry to the settings file?

Hi Riccardo

New releases don't necessarily add new parameters to existing settings files. I think you just need to add a line:

editor.tagsfield.autoaddspace = 0

to the cintanotes.settings file and restart CN. The '0' indicates 'off' or 'false', while a '1' would indicate 'on' or 'true'.

The entry won't be added until CN needs it - in this case, when saving a note.
Otherwise Gunars is correct.

In that case, I still don't understand how the setting works:

I have

1) Added the line
editor.tagsfield.autoaddspace = 0
to the file cintanotes.settings

2) Launched the program

3) Created a new note (untagged)

4) Put the cursor in the tag field. There is no additional space there.

5) Added a tag (the word "Test") to the new note, making sure I did not add a space at the end

5) Closed the new note

6) Reopened the new note

7) When I put the cursor in the tag field, there is a space after the tag, so that, if I want to add a subtag, I need to backspace before writing the "/" and the subtag.

Am I doing something wrong? I cannot find a menu setting to remove the auto add space setting. I've done it by changing the cintanotes.setting file, as described above, but with no apparent effect, bot in 3.4 beta 1 and in 3.4 final.

For later readers: Riccardo's problem was editing of the wrong settings file.
When CN is installed into Program Files, the settings file is always located in %APPDATA%/CintaNotes
