Just to say, I very much like the autosave and ctrl+alt+v features of the update.

Small usability and workflow/speed improvements like this are always welcome.

It seems to me there's another small, but very welcome improvement in this version : while in the editor, you can now move from one field of a note to another with the arrow keys. Most notably, you can type (or edit) your title, then move on to the beginning of the text by using the down arrow ; while beforehand, you needed to leave the keyboard in order to reposition the cursor with your mouse.

The down-up arrows also work to move the cursor from the note body to the lower fields (tags, URL, remarks) and back again.

You can also use the tab key to move from the note title to the text body, which again wasn't possible before, to the best of my recollection. However, if you try to move the cursor from the title by hitting the tab key, and you had positioned the cursor in the middle of the note at a previous stage, it will then move back into that place, instead of the beginning of the text.

Opening the note for editing, adjusting the title, then hitting the down arrow key will move the cursor to the beginning of the note text, as expected.

The same result will be achieved with the tab key, without needing to move the cursor to the end of the title beforehand. Another instance of correctly guessing the user's intentions, because why would you want to use the tab key to move text within the title ? That would make no sense. The user must want to jump to the text part of the note.

However, if you then proceed to edit the text body, move to the end of the text and hit the tab key, this will not move the cursor to the tags field ; the software will correctly assume that you want to add some text to the end of the note, starting at a tabbed position.

And by the way, thank you for the lightning-fast addition of longer names for note links.

Hi Alex,

the auto minimize feature does not trigger in the following situations:

* have main window visible and press "INS" to create a new note
* have main window visible and use the global shortcut to create a new note

Well actually all of this was added long before the last version, I wonder why it didn't work for you.

No problem! If only all improvements were this easy to make ;)

Hi Thomas,

Thomas Lohrum wrote:* have main window visible and press "INS" to create a new note
* have main window visible and use the global shortcut to create a new note

I think we have discussed it in email. This is by design, the "losing focus" part in the "minimize on losing focus"
refers to the application as a whole, not to the main window alone.

I would find it irritating if main window would minimize to tray every time I open a note for reading.

Ok, i see. Since i use minimizeonenter i'm used to have the editor window open while the main window is minimized. I did not realize that this setting is still supported. I thought it was included as part of the new setting. :)

No problem Thomas! I wasn't going to remove this option: I remember we agreed that you'll use this setting and everyone will be happy ;)

Strange indeed. I would have sweared I tried this before and failed, then tried again with the present version and succeeded. Maybe I stopped trying several versions ago, and assumed it would never work... Anyway, it's a small thing that speeds up my work, so I wanted to give a tip of the hat for that.
