Also can it be uploaded or synced to Simplenotes ?
You need PRO license for this, use the file attachment feature (paperclip icon or F12 in note editor).

The files will be synced when you use SN sync, in encrypted form (actually over our own server since Simplenote doesn't support arbitrary data).
However they will be viewable only on Windows client, not on mobile.
