Jul 21, 2018 - Version 3.12 Beta1

Sorry for making you wait so long, guys! This version fixes some of the more annoying bugs.
This is part of our plan to ship a number of intermediate bugfix 3.xx versions prior to release of 4.0 beta.
Feedback welcome!

Enhancements:
  • Sorting by Remarks field
  • Simplenote sync: Add option to sync every 1 minute
  • Simplenote sync: automatically turn on Markdown mode for uploaded new notes
Fixes:
  • Editor: fix links in rich text when pasted into other programs such as MS Word
  • Editor: Copy/paste of a bullet list with multiple indent levels doubled the space between each indent
  • Editor: marker highlight (Ctrl+H) was lost after copy/paste
  • Clipping from HTML: sometimes words in angle brackets were skipped
  • Fix error when using create note keyboard shortcut with locked notebook
  • Now it's possible to copy/paste notes with attachments from one notebook into another
  • HTML export: MS Word couldn't open files produced by exporting notes to HTML
  • Simplenote sync: don't add blank line + "source: someprogram.exe" to each note

Download:
Installable: CintaNotes_3_12_Beta1_Setup.exe
Portable: CintaNotes_3_12_Beta1.zip

This is the feature I was waiting for. Thanks :)
Just one thing, the icon is not the one of Cintanotes anymore, it has changed to some kind of default placeholder icon.

Regards,
Andrew.

Several rather simple-minded questions:

I'm interested in trying out this beta release. I have a Lifetime Pro license. Will the beta release file recognize that when I install it? And if I decide I'd like to go back to 3.11, can I simply reinstall that? Again, will it then recognize my Lifetime Pro status?

Hello Bill,
Yes to both questions! But make a backup copy just in case, never hurts)

Alex, I'm very pleased to be able to sort now on the remarks field. In some of my groups of notes I usually want them alphabetized by the header but occasionally need to have them sorted by date. By popping the date (in the standard format of 2018-08-16) into the remarks field, I can easily arrange the notes chronologically. Thanks!

I notice that in this beta CintaNotes still converts pasted em dashes and en dashes into hyphens. We discussed that problem on this forum a long time ago. Is there any hope that we will be able to preserve our dashes in future releases?

Hi Bill,
sorry for long delay - I was away from the office. Glad that you find sorting by remarks useful.
About the dashes - after we migrate to the new UI there's hope that we'll get rid of this problem (as we are moving away from MS RichEdit).
