Alex, will you offer any encouraging words to us users of CintaNotes?

Can we look forward to another release sometime soon?

More importantly, is Version 4 still on the horizon?

Hello Bill,
Thanks for checking up :)

The current plan looks as follows:
Christmas 2018 - release of v3.13 (bugfixes)
March 2019 - release of 4.0 alpha
April 2019 - 4.0 beta and 4.0

I know if takes a lot of time, but migrating to a cross-platform UI framework and rewriting all of the UI
turns to be a huge amount of work. The added bonus, however, would be that it will be relatively easy
to come up with Mac and Linux version - not immediately after v.4.0 release, but close.

Also, since you turned this up, wanted to ask all those who are waiting for 4.0:
Is 32-bit and Windows XP support still important, or it would be ok to make CN 64-bit and Windows 7+ ?
Thanks!

Same here - 64 bit and Win 7+ is fine.

I use Windows 10, so compatibility with very early versions of Windows is not of much interest to me.

I think at some time you have to drop support for old OS's to remove some technical debt - and I think v4 would be the time to do it, so no issue for me.

Using cintanotes daily for my notes. Found nothing that beats this powerful but simple to use note taking app, and the syncing with my simplenote android apps.

Looking forward to any new features you bring. Thanks!

No cintanotes native android app? The Simplenote one is too basic, simple, compared to the desktop win32 one.

Thanks

Last 32-bit OS I used for desktop was now about 10 years ago (Windows 2000 before moving to Win 7).

Drop the 32-bit and make life a bit easier for yourself :-)

It's coming soon. Sorry for the delay, we decided to throw in a couple of extra features in there (namely, new rule actions - "copy note" and "delete note").

Hi Alex,

can you confirm that 3.13 will fix the reported issue, please?

This is bugging me for months now.

Thanks :)

Hi,

I am interested in buying, Cintanotes Lifetime,

If all goes well, I plan to buy more lifetime copies, for

my corporation's team members.

However, I first have a couple of questions:

1) Does Version 4, contain the new GUI?

2) Does the Beta version mentioned, contain the new GUI?

3) Do you have a potential timeline, for when Cintanotes, will come to Linux, and Mac?

4) Is their plans, to port Cintanotes, to Apple, and Android, to work on Apple, and Android phones.

Should the budget allow?

5) Does Cintanotes, plan to extend their dev team, once they financially, are in the position to do so,
to speed up updates?

6) Does Cintanotes, plan to keep sections, or enable notebooks like in evernotes,

or allow both?

Kind Regards,

Abigail
(Corporate Director)

Hello Abigail,

Thanks for your questions!

TheJoy91 wrote:1) Does Version 4, contain the new GUI?

It will, but it's release is planned for Apr-May 2019 (this date may slip further though).

Does the Beta version mentioned, contain the new GUI?

No.

3) Do you have a potential timeline, for when Cintanotes, will come to Linux, and Mac?

We have it in plans for after the 4.0 release. Very roughly - end 2019 - beginning 2020.

4) Is their plans, to port Cintanotes, to Apple, and Android, to work on Apple, and Android phones.

It's still under consideration. We'll need to check how hard will it be to port CN there using the new GUI framework.

5) Does Cintanotes, plan to extend their dev team, once they financially, are in the position to do so,
to speed up updates?

If the financials allow it, definitely.

6) Does Cintanotes, plan to keep sections, or enable notebooks like in evernotes,

Now CintaNotes supports both notebooks and sections, and we plan to keep this.
