remarks field

I'm compiling a big bibliography in CintaNotes, and I find the ability to sort on the remarks field (where I insert a date) absolutely essential, because I need to be able to switch back and forth between searching by author name and by date.
Alex, you've said, I believe, that just a few small capabilities of the current CintaNotes may not find their way into the next version. Can I assume that sorting on the remarks field is not one of them? I ask because it would be disastrous to discover midway through the project that I had lost that function.

Hi Bill,
Sorting by remarks will definitely stay, no worries

Here I can list which features probably won't make it into CN4:
- Back/forward button and view history (we intend to eventually replace them with saved searches)
- Color themes in current primitive form (will be extended to make it more configurable and to add a dark theme)
- List of currently "open" notebooks in File menu (will be replaced by smth better)
- "OK" and "Cancel" buttons in note editor

Hi Alex
If you can answer about future plans:
1) Will the sqlite db continue in more or less its present form or is it being replaced by something else?
2) Will the import/export feature using xml continue?
Thanks
Gunars

Hi Gunars,
both SQLite and XML will stay of course.

Alex, thanks for all this information.
A very small question about color themes: you mention the dark theme in particular, but will there be others as well? (I'd love to have a pale yellow background, for example, in the note background.)

There will be at least 2 pre-defined themes, and each theme will be further customizable

Thanks. That's good news.
