A few days ago Simplenote sync has stopped working for many CN users.
I'm sorry for the inconveniences caused.
The reason were changes on the Simplenote side.

CN 3.14 beta synchronized for several days, but the synchronization was defective - a list of tags is not created.

There is currently no access to simplenote site.
Unfortunately, this has often been repeated lately. In addition to blocking CN synchronization, this creates additional problems in terms of synchronization.

Access to the simplenote site has been restored, so I can answer your question.
If I understood you correctly, then I did the following:
- created a new SN account;
- created a new CN base;
- imported the existing base into it;
- synchronized with the new account in SN.
Result: Sync successful, but no tag list created.

This seems to be a bug in SN's web interface.
As soon as you add any other tag on the web, all the tags appear in the list..

In my experience, unfortunately, not all the tags appear in the list: only the tag that has been edited. Thus, the problem of defective synchronization is not solved.
Alex, it seems to me that it can be solved by interacting with the developers of SN. Do you think this is possible? Without its solution, CN will lose a lot in attractiveness in terms of interacting with android gadgets.
