Is there a way to change which instance is the target of new notes, when using multiple instances of the program (and separate databases)?

At the moment the first instance opened seems to be the target of the new note (Ctrl+F12), even if the second instance got the focus last.

No, I'm afraid the only reliable solution is to assign different hotkeys for note clipping.
