Very nice little app, blazingly fast and convenient!
If there would be a way to highlight the text I'm searching for, would be the best! Thanks

Dear kamal_nappa,
thank you very much for your kind words and encouragement, I'm really happy that someone liked the program :)

What concerns hilighting of the search string, this feature is already planned in the next version of CintaNotes, which will come out short before New Year. It will also include the possibility to scroll large notes in-place.

We understand very well that CintaNotes is quite a minimalistic notes manager right now, but it will get more useful features regularly.
And rest assured that no matter how many new features are added, great usability, quality and performance will always be our concern #1.
(BTW, I'd be most greateful if you could tell me which other features you would consider a must for CintaNotes.)

Thank you again and I hope to see you among CintaNotes 1.0 users ;)

Would like to add my thoughts too. Excellent program, just what I had been looking for. Tried many others, just couldn't find something that's this straight forward and unintrusive.

One suggestion for the next release: An option for a silent capture (When you press Ctrl+F12 or another alternative hotkey, the tray icon flashes or a small alert appears, but the main window remains hidden)

Also, anyway we can stay updated to this program, e.g. mailing lists we can subscribe to? Would love to test the next version soon...

Regards and Happy New Year,
Wobb

Dear Wobb,
thank you very much for all the kind words, for trying CintaNotes and most of all for taking the time to write this post.

That's a very good idea, although I still need to find a way how to integrate this into the program without overloading user's memory with too many keyboard shortcuts. Maybe something like Alt-F12 would do, but I definitely will make this configurable.

For now, as a workaround for the current version, you can just press the Esc key after the note has been captured, and you'll go back where you were.

Very soon there will be such automated mailing list. In the meanwhile, if you send me a free-form subscription request to feedback@cintanotes.com, I'd be happy to notify you about any updates (the same of course holds for anyone else who would like to get notified).

Thanks again and Happy New Year
