Ive added settings info inline with my instructions

Create a new directory on hard disc (eg c:\cn-test) and go to it
Download 'my' cintanotes.zip (from forum) and extract cintanotes.db
Download CintaNotes_1_0B.zip and extract cintanotes.exe
Start cintanotes - note order is aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd, eee
Set view tag sidebar and reverse order - note order is eee, ddd, ccc, bbb, aaa
Clear options minimise to system tray
Select all in tag sidebar
Close CN - file / exit

Nod, have you tried 1.0c, what's the result?

Ok I tried again and digged more on my hard disk in the old folders and then tried again, I can only reproduce the problem with an "old" 1.0B which was maybe attached to this thread during development
If by chance CintaNotes.exe is this one:

It has the bug and it's not the released version on CN home page. To check the size is not enough because "old" and "new" version have the same byte size. This is the only explanation I can find

I can finally now start using this program just because of full text search. I started using it last year and then abandoned it because I couldn't search for my stuff. This is the single best feature that will probably make it my default note program.

Would love:
1. rich text editing/table support
2. internal links to other notes.
