Executable is ready, now finishing the help file and release notes.

Would appreciate it if you guys could do some quick testing of the new executable below.
Don't forget to backup your notes (just in case)! thanks in advance!

Some of the new things which are not quite self-evident:
- exclude tags from view via Alt-clicking on them in the tag sidebar (OR mode changed to Shift-click);
- cycle through search results via pressing F7 in note preview

F7 doesn't work for me (or maybe I don't understand exactly what this feature does.)
Can someone help please?

I get an SQL lite logic error or missing database. Is there more to installing than extracting to the CintaNotes folder?

DG

for using F7 put the search on anywhere,
then write 2 words separated by space,
select one answer and press f7,
you will see the words of your search colored in the text.

1.1 seems to work fine for me also, but I too don't see that F7 does anything.

The words of my search are colored automaticaly. F7 still does nothing (at least nothing I can see :? )

Everything works fine here, thanks for the release.

F7 jumps to the next search result inside long notes only (exceeding max number of lines in preview).

The only minor complaint is tag autocompletion in the search field, how can I disable it? It inserts its suggestions on space key, arrows, anything... and no way to discard it.

Hi guys, thanks a lot for testing!

oded, F7 jumps to the next not-visible search highlight of currently focused note. If all highlights of this note are visible, it does nothing.

DG, kranor : this is most alarming! When exactly do you get the error?
The problem is, I've changed the full-text word tokenizer a bit, and on the first run CN re-tokenizes the full-text index. But in your case it must have failed to do so!
To confirm, please do the following:
1) Download sqlite3 admin tool from here: http://sqlite.org/sqlite-3_6_23_1.zip
2) Copy it to the folder of your database and run: sqlite3 cintanotes.db
3) Inside of the tool, execute the following command: pragma user_version;
4) Give me the number returned.
This will let me see whether reindexing failed. Thanks!

Also please try exporting whole DB to XML and re-importing back - the error should go away.

lashtal I think the autocompletion on space is indeed a bit overboard. I guess I'll remove it and leave only the Enter key for accepting autocomplete suggestion.

OK. Now I understand :)
I've tested and it works flawlessly :D
Thank you for your help! Much appreciated.

Guys, I won't release 1.1 before fixing the nasty "SQL error" problem - so if anyone has this problem, please join in on its resolution.
Please describe in detail your configuration and follow the steps from the post above.
The main question here: when does it happen, at startup or when you try to search?
Thanks!

I think that I might have found and fixed the problem.
I've used some psychic debugging methods and surmised that the problem manifests only for those users that have UTF-16 database.
(The setting sqlite.pragma.encoding in cintanotes.settings only affects the creation of the new database).

This way I managed to reproduce the error and hopefully fix it via rewriting the DB update procedure.

DG, kranor, please try the new executable:

Thanks guys!
Now the release is finally there!
Please update since I've made some little changes to 1.1A to improve caching.
