Do you really think it need explanation?.. :o

OK, whenever a word "drop basket" or "drop box" is used that means you can drag-n-drop something on a small window (called "drop box/basket") from another window.

I guess I am an old guy that could never see why I should use a mouse to do something the keyboard can do faster, but this seems like it takes way too much effort...a hot key to capture selection is almost instantaneous...

I voted for Don't do it:
- keyboard shortcuts are already there
- keep it simple

I do not think that there is any complication in this thing. The most important thing to remember that sometimes standard copy pasting does not work in all applications. In case they might support drag and drop this function would work greatly. For example I use a modified Firefox shell and standard copy paste is not available so CN fails badly to grab any kind of text from FF, but FF lets me drag and drop text or images etc.

This sounds really strange to me. I mean, how can you live without ability to copy something from a web page to clipboard?

I have copy paste, it is just that it does not use standard copy-paste like C-c,C-v :) So CN or similar apps that relies on standard implementation fails to grab.

Oh, I see now. But then, you don't really need a drop basket, you just want CN to support Drag-n-drop itself, right?

Yeah that would do it as well. In any case, drag and drop is a good thing to have around regardless of other applications failures or non standard implementations of features.

Yes, I agree with that.
