[Managing] Allow Tags when Selected Not Show SubTags Content

I use CintaNotes like a wiki and organize my work sessions like you would Imagine a Wiki Organized (Example Below). I would love it if you could make it so if you click on a Tag it doesn't show its notes and all of the Tags Under It's notes. Say you have a bunch of articles organized like KnowledgeBase/General -> Bunch of Notes, Then have KnowledgeBase/General/Processes -> Bunch of Notes. When you click on General I would love to ONLY see General's Notes in the Right Side Pane. Then when I click on Processes, only see the Processes Tags (which you currently do).

Example Layout:

Information
Information/Contacts
KnowledgeBase
KnowledgeBase/General
KnowledgeBase/General/Products
KnowledgeBase/General/Products/Product 1
KnowledgeBase/General/Products/Product 2
KnowledgeBase/General/Products/Product 3
KnowledgeBase/Other
Processes
Process/General

If you took this on I would totally buy another copy just as a thank you. This is hands down my best purchase so far. I sadly spent 114.95 on ConnectedText only to realize how horrible it was for what I needed at actually making a properly organized Wiki when this does it so very well and is pretty doing it to boot!

Hi willgk,

I'm not sure that I've correctly understood your request. Let's sort it out:

you have the following tag layout:
KnowledgeBase
KnowledgeBase/General
KnowledgeBase/General/Processes

and when you click on KnowledgeBase/General, you don't want to see notes tagged as KnowledgeBase/General/Processes.
Is this correct? If it is, the answer is below.

1. Why make Processes child of General when you don't want to see them when you look at General? Just rename KnowledgeBase/General/Processes to KnowledgeBase/Processes.
2. If solution 1 doesn't make sense for you, there's another option. You need to Ctrl+Shift+Click on General to see
only notes tagged as General, but not with any child tags.

Hope this helps and thank you for your promised support, we'll appreciate it.

The CTRL+SHIFT+CLICK is a work around for now, it does have it's own problems but just to explain why I wanted this. As with a Wiki, I am treating some of the child tags as "Sub-Folders" so that say with your example I have:

KnowledgeBase
KnowledgeBase/General
KnowledgeBase/General/Processes
KnowledgeBase/Mainframe/Processes
KnowledgeBase/Mainframe/Commands
KnowledgeBase/Mainframe/Systems
KnowledgeBase/Processes

Each of these would contain different items. While for example Mainframe has 3 child tags Processes, Commands, and Systems. I don't treat the Systems notes that are in that Systems folder as part of the Mainframe primary tag, because it contains it's own set of documents.

Does this make sense?

Sorry, I actually meant Alt+Shift+Click. And which problems does it have, could you name please?

I think that your problems may come from trying to fit 2 hierarchies into one.
Try something like this:

KnowledgeBase/General
KnowledgeBase/Mainframe
Type/Processes
Type/Commands
Type/Systems
Type/Other

Does it make sense for you?
