Subj. There should be an option not to display a button on the taskbar, even when CN is opened and in focus.

Received this request via email.

Could someone explain further why I might want to do this? It seems odd that you would want or need to hide it if you were currently editing. Would it affect the ability to ALT-Tab through the windows?

I'm with todd on this one. If CintaNotes is the window in focus what is the problem with a taskbar entry. If its not in focus you are not using it so minimize and send it to tray.

I really don't see any potential in this suggestion. And I feel that it would distract Alex from other items on the roadmap.

I think they asked to always save taskbar space even when using the main CintaNotes window. The idea to save space is not bad as a principle, there are even dedicated utilities to hide items from the taskbar or from the tray. At the same time it doesn't add anything to the core functionality of CN so we might consider it a refinement for later stage when CN will be more mature and more useful features are implemented :)

I agree. It would be a a nice subtle improvement further along in development, but CintaNotes is also fine without it.
