[Clipping] Adding to Note with Hotkey

It would be great if CN could check the new text if there is already a note with the same
text and extend this note.

Basic example:

I have a note with:
abcdefg
1234567

and I add one note with the hotkey with

abcdefg
1234567
ztrewsd

then CN should see that there is already a note with the same text and add the new text only instead of adding a new note.

Hi!
could you describe what would you need such behavior for? thanks

I have many different Notepad windows open and I add information everywhere.
I don't want to save all the different notes but when my pc crashes, all notes are lost.
So I add them to CN via hotkey. But when I do it multiple times I always add a new note
with over 90% the same text.
I wouldn't need notepad anymore if I could open and edit multiple notes in CN.

But you could just add "ztrewsd" as a separate note second time, and afterward use Ctrl+M to merge the notes into one.
Would this fit the bill for you?

Merging would be ok. But atm I would have two notes

a
b
c

and

a
b
c
d

after merging I get

a
b
c
a
b
c
d

Good would be to get only

a
b
c
d

because the beginning is the same.
Or you could create the option to write plugins for CN. So you call plugins when clipping a note or when you merge notes.
In this case I could write all the logic myself.

Sorry for the delay.
Ok I see your point. But I'd like to see how many users would like to have this functionality, so I'm creating a poll here.
If there will be more upvotes than downvotes, it will be added to the roadmap.
If it doesn't get enough upvotes, I suggest you create another feature request for CN plugins, since the broader feature may attract more users.
