I've reworked my use of tags.

Now, I've detected a problem for me. I can't create a tag which isn't associated to an note.

I will in the future assign all my new notes to a predefined list of tags.

I think, this is a good way to organize my notes and tags, so that these will be well arranged for use.

So, the possibility to add not associated tags will be very desirable.

Is this possible?

I think this will be a useful possibility, although for some the convenience of not having to delete unneeded tags manually could be still preferable. I say it should be an option.

Note: what urmel is driving into here is the difference between pre-coordinated (his case) and post-coordinated (Alex preference) control languages -- which are both standard approaches for content description (indexing) in the LIS field.

I tried only to qualify the issue, so it could be researched further, if need arises -- but there's no need for us to reinvent the wheel here, our job should just be making it obsolete... jetpack, anyone?
