[Managing] tag dropdown list

Postby jj » Sat Jul 10, 2010 6:18 am

Hi,

enjoying your program. thanks!

I use the ctrl f12 function a lot... which is great.

BUT, there is no drop down add tag option... neither there in ctrl f12 nor when manualing editing the note... each time I have to rewrite the tags...

Do that 20 times a day x 365 days x 20 years and well, lots of wasted energy AND TIME.

Would be great to have a drop down box to add tags when either clicking on view edit or when using the ctrl f12, and after using the drop down, ie., clicking on either one existing tag, or multiple existing tags, one could also add new tag names if need be.

Just a thought.

Peace,

Hi jj and thanks for your feedback!

First, make sure you use the latest version of CN (tag autocomplete appeared in Beta M9).
Second, use the Ctrl+Space shortcut in the Tags field for the dropdown list with all tags to appear.
And third, there's this suggestion on the roadmap, which comes pretty close to what you want:
