[Search] Indirect search

Postby Guest » Sun Oct 31, 2010 9:02 pm

Hi.
At this moment (1.3) Cintanotes have two search modes: full-text search and exact search.
But I want another one. My speech is inarticulate, so i'll show:

Query: lor met sum
Note text: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet

Neither full-text search, nor exact search matches that query.
I understand that this mode can be slow and inefficient, but i don't have thousands of notes, so i don't care about speed and resources.
And if you're already working on implementation of regexp search — forget what i've wrote. :)

P.S. I think that mode was in earlier versions of CN, but i can't obtain them to check. All links in Files directory refer to version 1.3.

Hi and thanks for your suggestion.
No, earlier versions of CN didn't have that either.
I think that Advanced search with Regular expressions, which is on the roadmap (http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/feedback/3178-search/)
will be able to solve your problem.
