Note properties adds 9 days

Just updated to version 1.8 and I've got a strange bug in Note Properties.

If I use the calendar to pick the created or modified date, 9 days are automatically added to my selection.

For example, I select September 9, 2012 on the calendar, and the value becomes September 18, 2012.

Alex,

this bug is *really* serious. I confirm not only that some strange value is added to the picked date. What's worse, 2-3 seconds later my windows 7 crashed!!! First CN crashed. I was not able to kill the process. I started the task manager, which got frozen next. I could no longer work with my PC. Luckily i was able to reboot without data loss. Wow, i can't remember having seen such a strange bug and windows behaviour ever.

metallop, Thomas, thanks for the report!
I confirm the bug and we will fix it soon.

As for the system crash, I believe this is just a coincidence, I haven't had any of the sort..
Or have you been able to reproduce the crash, Thomas?

Seems to be fixed in 1.8.1.

Glad to see date validation has gone away ... hope that's a long-term plan.

Thanks!
Mark

Phew, good!)

Mark, if you're talking about the "modification date can't be before creation date" validation, I've just checked -
it's still there. How come it is not working for you? Regardless of whether it is good or bad, the behavior should
be definite.

You're right. I must have gotten my past/future dates mixed up. Wishful thinking.

To me the validation is unnecessary. Did someone actually ask for it? Before it was fairly easy to use the Creation date as an action date or however the user decided. Now you have to go through the extra step of posting a future date into the modification date field..

Thanks!
Mark

I've already answered about this here:
CintaNotes Developer wrote:But the creation date has only very recently become user-editable, how did you cope before that?
Actually using the creation date as "action" date is somewhat kludgey.. The perfect way to do this would be implementing "alarms in notes", but even before that, you could use the title field to track this date, which maybe would be even more convenient, because you'd retain both creation date and action date."
