Hi,

I don't know if this is a bug or intended functionality...

When I create or edit a note in cintanotes and sync on my phone with FlickNote for android, the Uid shows at the end of the note.

It doesn't happen the other way around.

I have also tested with an instance of ResophNotes synced to the same account and the same thing happens.

The Uid in cinta edited/created notes also shows up in the SimpleNote IOS app.

The Uid does not show in the note within cintanotes. Just mentioning this for the sake of clarity as I understand why it wouldnt show in cinta.

So, is this just an unavoidable side effect of using cintanotes with simplenote sync or is it a bug?

This is not a bug, this was by design to allow linking to notes (Simplenote doesn't support note links).
These Uids are just internal note metadata which you should simply ignore (it is obviously not necessary
to display these Uids in CN).
Simplenote unfortunately doesn't have any support for custom metadata, this is why
we had to put these Uids directly into the notes' text. Without these Uids note links would get broken
when you sync down from Simplenote into a new CN notebook.


Since these Uids tend to annoy people, in version 2.2 they will only be included in the notes
which are actual note link targets.
