URL's and Text Characters

I had a bit of text in a note, enclosed by brackets and ended with a fullstop, eg
(test).

I copied a URL from my browser, opened the note, and pasted the text inside the brackets, but after the text, eg
(test http://www.google.com).

Now, CN takes the ) and fullstop as part of the URL, so when I click it, it opens as the following in my browser:
http://www.google.com).

I've noticed this before, but have never taken the time to document it (my workaround has been to paste the URL after the text, so in this case:
(test). http://www.google.com

This looks ugly, and I would like to be able to put the URL in the correct place.

This is because parens are legitimate in URLs (see Wikipedia links for example).
To alleviate this, simply add a space character after the URL and before the right paren.
