Printing in Courier New Losing Spaces

Postby doremi » Thu Dec 01, 2016 4:06 pm

Hi,

I have setup my CintaNotes font to Courier New (or Lucida Console) expecting my notes to be mono-spaced and formatted the way I wanted it, and Cintanotes displays as expected. When I print the notes, however, some of the spaces have disappeared and the formatting is no longer the way I wanted it. I'm guessing this happens to any font. Is this a known bug?

Thanks,

Doremi

Hi and thanks for reporting!

Yes, there is a bug - CintaNotes should detect that the font is monospaced and use appropriate HTML tags (HTML by default eats up spaces).
As a workaround, mark note text as monospaced with Ctrl+M before printing.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for responding quickly. I tried your workaround. Unfortunately, I got the same original result when I print. The printing still loses the spaces.

I hope this problem will be fixed in later versions.

Thanks,

Ok thanks for the additional info and sorry that the workaround didn't work for you
(it worked for me however, so I guess there are some different settings in play).

Hi Doremi,

One quick additional question: which browser is the default one on your system? CintaNotes prints by exporting to a temporary HTML file and issuing a command to print the HTML file. So the way the result looks also depends on the browser used.
