Crash log

Postby Pacerier » Wed May 03, 2017 12:19 am

Code: Select all

---------------------------
CintaNotes
---------------------------
Oops.. something went wrong!
Please press Ctrl+C to copy the error information
and email it to support@cintanotes.com so that we can fix it:

SE EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW at address 0x006CBE37 inside E:\ro.......tes\CintaNotes_3_6\CintaNotes_3_6\CintaNotes.exe loaded at base address 0x00380000

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Win 8.1. Cinta 3.6.

Crashed when I'm closing a note after typing stuff into it. The stuff that is typed still managed to be saved when I re-open Cinta.

After that I did:

Code: Select all

pragma integrity_check;

It says:

Code: Select all

ok
.

Thanks for the report!
Could you please do the following:

1) Make a copy of your notebook via File/Save As command
2) In this copy, delete ALL notes except the one that it causing the error
3) Empty recycle bin as well
4) Delete tags that you wouldn't like to disclose to anyone
5) Zip and send the notebook with this 1 note to support@cintanotes.com

Thanks!

How do I find the note that is causing the error?

(I can't remember which note it is of course... there are literally thousands of notes.) Where is the info saved?

Well I thought that the error happens often that finding the note won't be a problem.
If it was a one-off error this gets trickier for sure.
CintaNotes doesn't have history of opened notes.

It happens every now and then. Once per week maybe.

Shouldn't there be a stack trace of the stack overflow exception?

Please try this version: http://cintanotes.com/files/beta/CintaN ... _Beta1.zip
Hopefully the bug was fixed there.
