SQLite error 19 while deleting empty section

Postby awm » Mon Aug 03, 2015 9:31 am

After I made a section empty I got the error message (see attachment) while deleting the section.
I'm not able to solve this. For example: adding a note with only a title and then deleting the section.
I've read some posts on this forum, but couldn't use the information to solve my problem.

Hi awm, thanks for the report!

Could you please provide the following info:

1) CN version
2) You database file may be corrupt. Is the problem reproducible on a new notebook?
3) Couldn't find the attachment you refferred to

Thanks!

I'm working with Cintanotes 2.9.3 PRO.
I've tried to attach a Word doc to my post with a printscreen of the errormessage. It wouldn't let me do this. After pressing submit to add the file. The post didn't show the file it self anywhere :(

So here in plain text the error message:
class db::DatabaseException
SQLite error 19:
UNIQU contraint failed: Sections.num

It was strange that. After closing and starting Cintanotes, I was able to delete the empty section. So my problem is solved, but why it happend is a mystery.

I want you to know that this happens almost every time I want to delete an empty section. Because deleting an empty section doesn't occur often, it is not really blocking my work with Cintanotes. It is more annoying for that matter.

Thanks for the quick responses every time I have a question.

Hi Walter,

99% that your db file is corrupt.

Please export all notes to XML, create a new notebook and re-import notes back.
Warning: if you have SN sync active, you'll need to take some extra steps to avoid
notes being duplicated - in this case, simply create a new notebook and sync it with
SN to get your notes.
Please let me know if this helps!
