Design of a standard note screen
Design of a new clipping screen
Once a web clipping is made, a new note will appear.

This is the interface for that note screen.
We will all have clipping, inline attachment, attachment views at the same time.
in v.4.0 without having to "prioritise what to do first and what to do next".
Attachments can be added to any note even if you didnt start the note as a web clipping.
Copy-paste will be enabled by default within the note textarea.
When a paste is detected an attachment line will be automatically inserted
in the present cursor position within the note.

It's certainly a little different to what we have now - I'm not sure how to feel about it to be honest. The plus sign on the left hand side of the window - does that extend the entire way down the window? If so, I am wondering what the rationale behind that is (I can't really think of a reason why it needs to be the size of the entire window). And, what does the plus do - add a new note?

Marun, thanks for all the effort you've put into this concept!
I can see that the main point of it is to have inline editing of notes and attachments, directly in the notes list?
I like the concept in general, but as the one who'll be in the end implementing it can't ignore the fact that it will be
very difficult to implement. A too radical departure from the current concept I'm afraid.
And I second Chris's question about the plus on the left side.

usbpoweredfridge, I missed that new note can be added from the paperclip in current UI itself..

Cintanotes Developer,
We will all have "Inline attachments", "Clipping" in CN 4.0

Use case for doctors in third world nations:
Store each patient case-by-case in a new note.
Store medical reference attachments pertaining to each patient in the same note.
There may be more than one attachment for the same patient.

Also we need a "check notebook integrity" function in CN 4.0.
"Check notebook integrity and backup now"

Why you're not using links to notes? I think they'll be a better fit in this case.

No this is different.
Links to notes are different than inline attachments, web clippings.

Ok, now I get that it's about inline attachments.
So, ability to place links to attachmed files into text would be ok then?

Yes, the ability to place links to attachment files into text and the attachments stored along with the note itself in cintanotes.db would be great to have... If you can consider this in roadmap that would be great.
