Just started using Cinta, and love it, but having the help file online only is a problem for me (and anyone with limited connectivity).
Is it possible to have a copy of the help file included with the program download? I know this means compiling it - but since I'm 'under-employed' right now, I'd be happy to offer assistance in creating the file.

Re: [Other] Help File
The nod towards making it a CintaNotes file is good.
I reviewed and digested the design philosophy (sorry I didn't do this before posting). I agree with the philosophy, and understand the help file suggestion might fly in the face of discoverable, but let me explain.
I was going to ask where the search menu was. I couldn't find it on the menu bar, or anywhere else (I know - hiding in plain sight!). So I went to the forum, saw lots of suggestions about advanced search features, and figured I'd missed something. Went back to the help file, and almost by accident noticed a keyboard combo (ctrl-F?) that made the search box have focus.
OK, no I know how obvious it was all along. But at the time, it was frustrating me!
Having the help file as a Cinta file makes it organic (part of the design), effective (both as a help file, and to show off capability of Cinta), and Convenient (included with the program, no connectivity issues). I admit, in terms of discoverable, its probably a draw ... but when you can't (or at least, not) discovering howto, a help file is good to have.
Thanks for listening, and many more thanks for this great software!

Re: [Other] Help File
Hello DaXiong, welcome to the forum and to CintaNotes. I just rechecked the last version to be sure and there is an help file included with both CintaNotes flavours. We can access it from the top menu, the "Help" item and then again "Help", or with F1 key and it should open the default browser with the help file loaded from a local folder. Maybe you can highlight what's unclear in the process or in the help file itself? do you think for example we would need screenshots in the help file?

Re: [Other] Help File
Ale,
Thanks for your post. I'm unsure what happened at my end. The other day, when I went to open help, it couldn't cause I didn't have internet connectivity. Today, after reading your post, it loaded the help file off my laptop no problems.
I assume the glitch is at my end, so guess this is a non-starter.

Re: [Other] Help File
In the end, for windows app compliance, I still think the html help page could be compiled as chm -- it's a simple task, and makes CN more integrated with its environment...

I don't really mind either way, but I agree that it'd be a relatively simple task of using .chm and it would look more tightly integrated.

Re: [Other] Help File
I guess we can transform the request to "converting the help file to CHM" and have a vote on it.
