[Managing] CintaNotes Undo

Postby digitrunner » Mon Nov 09, 2009 7:07 pm

An undo command would be great, a few times I've accidentally deleted text and had to retype everything.

Hello,

inside of note editor there's an undo command which is available via context menu or Ctrl-Z.

In the notes list there's no undo command. Which do you mean here?

What we need is a method of recovering deleted notes.

Hi
Yes, that would be part way there, but It would be good to have an undo command on the deletion of an entire note or even a Ctrl Z command.

Hello

Why not have some sort of history/version control on the notes?
Either keep all version of a note or a configureable number (e.g. keep last 3 versions). To access history notes a drop down field or context menue entry is needed. In addition a function/option "purge history of this note" and "purge history of all notes" is needed.

To handle accidently deleted notes the "recycle bin" feature would be sufficiant.

Hello EXtes,

sorry for the delay.
I think that full-blown version control is a bit too much for a lightweght tool like CintaNotes. It is clear that not all users will need this level of audit, whereas it will inevitably take some toll on the program's performance.

So for now I'll consider just the Undo command + Note Recycle Bin.
Let's have a vote here. Remember that you're voting for the Undo command only, the recycle bin should be in another topic.
