[Search] search within a note

It would be nice to activate with a Ctrl-F a simple linear search within a note.
F3-Key should jump to the next occurence

This is already on the roadmap, you can vote for it here:

http://cintanotes.userecho.com/feedback/3169-seach/

Unfortunately the F3 key is now taken by the "Browse Link" command,
so we'll have to decide if the key should be changed or if another key should be used.
Now CintaNotes uses F7 to jump to the next search term occurrence (in the note preview).

Alex, I see no mention of the key assignment issue in the "Search and replace inside of note edit dialog - Provide a way to find and optionally replace text in the note editor" UserEcho entry (URL above).

As F3 is the standard windows key for find next (many applications use this, not the least among them Firefox itself), I would consider switching the keys around -- giving F7 to "Browse Link" instead.

Of course this would be a non-issue if keyboard shortcut assignment were made user configurable...

I agree that switching the keys could be a nice solution.
Also maybe we should consider adding "Fully configurable keyboard shortcuts" to the roadmap as an idea?

Done! UE idea posted at http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/feedback/ ... shortcuts/

As further suggestions, dependent on implementation difficulty, CintaNotes could be made to check the availability of each keyboard shortcut; and maybe these could be stored in a different ini formatted configuration file, ready to be edited directly, should one choose to...
