Apologies if this has been reported already.
CintaNotes does not allow me to select all via Ctrl+A when in the title, tag or url fields of the edit window.
Is there a functional reason for this?
v1.3 Portable
WinXP Pro SP3
Thanks
Brian

Re: Select All
Hi Brian,
seems that it works for me. Ctrl+A selects the whole contents of the focused field.
Can you reproduce this on any other PC?

Re: Select All
I will try it on another machine when I get a chance. My laptop is running linux and I don't have Cintanotes on it.
Ctrl+A works in the main data field but all other fields return an error noise and it does not select.

Re: Select All
I was able to reproduce the exact same problem on another machine - again XP SP3, Cintanotes 1.3 (this time a fresh extraction from the zip currently on the main page).
A friend is calling over later and he runs Cintanotes on a Vista laptop. I'll try to remember to check it on that.

Re: Select All
I can reproduce it on my laptop, the same exact behaviour Brian reported. Windows XP SP3, fresh CintaNotes installation (from the ZIP file). I didn't try on other machines yet.

Re: Select All
Hmmmm, really strange, but I still can't reproduce it. Let's make sure that we mean the same thing:
I do the following:
1) Start CN 1.3 freshly downloaded from the homepage and clip a new note into it.
2) Open a note for editing - cursor is in the Title field
3) Press Ctrl+A - the whole contents of the Title field gets selected
4) Click in the Tags field to focus it
5) Press Ctrl+A - the whole contents of the Tags field gets selected
Are you doing the same and get different results?

Re: Select All
Ok I was finally able to reproduce it on XP SP3. I should have paid more attention to the exact OS version, serves me right Thanks for reporting!

Re: Select All
No worries. Hope it's not too difficult to solve.
Still... not a huge usability issue, just a minor annoyance.
As usual, thanks for a great prog

Re: Select All
No it is not difficult. However I was surprised that it was not really a bug, its just that the Ctrl+A shortcut really was not supported by the standard edit control until Vista and you had to implement this shortcut by hand.
