[Search] Filter sidebar

Postby sre » Fri Mar 11, 2011 2:46 pm

Hi there,

Just recently I came across CN and was pretty amazed about this app. Cool stuff, congratulations.

One thing would be of great help (at least for me): to have a filter sidebar. Often I have CN databases with 50+ tags and to look for particular notes I repeatedly need to click several tags in the tag sidebar do a union/intersect search. An additional filter sidebar, where I can add (and save) filters with name and some search expression, which in turn will be executed when a filter gets clicked, would be very handy for me. Something similar as can be found in ALEX PKB 1.3.6 (cf. http://pkb.sourceforge.net/).

Hi sre,

thanks a lot for your message and all the kind words!
I think a similar idea is already on the roadmap, please check here: http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/feedback/15284-search/

Hi Alex,

You are right of course. The idea is basically the same - and dropdown vs. sidebar is rather a question of how many saved searches you expect.
