[UI] Allow cursor up to move to the search box
When the cursor is focused on the top note of the notes list, arrow-up should move to the search box. This would come in more handy, than pressing Ctrl+F at various times. Also Ctrl+arrow-up could be added to focus the search box, regardless of the active position in the notes list. As an addition Ctrl+arrow-down could jump down to the end of the list.

But why would you need to do this so often if you can just start typing to search?
Ctrl+Up/Down are already taken - they allow to hand-pick notes with the spacebar.

Re: Allow cursor up to move to the search box
When you open CN the notes list has the focus. Sometimes i need to select untagged notes by using Ctrl+Enter. To do so, you must first focus the search box though. I am just looking for a better key to focus the search box. Ctrl+F is common and should be kept, but maybe there could be an alternative key added.CintaNotes Developer wrote:But why would you need to do this so often if you can just start typing to search?
Not sure i understand. When i press ctrl+arrow-up/down together with the spacebar i can scroll the note (same as using arrow left/right). The key ctrl+arrow-up itself appears not to be used, respectively it is the same as plain arrow-up.CintaNotes Developer wrote:Ctrl+arrow-Up/Down are already taken - they allow to hand-pick notes with the spacebar.

I see. Well IMO it just speaks for need of an additional and more easy to use "untagged" shortcut.

This is a bit subtle, but CintaNotes mimics Windows Explorer: it has both the focus rectangle and selection. When you press Up and Down, you move both focus and selection. When you press Ctrl+Up/Down, you move focus, but the selection stays. If you press Space while still holding Ctrl, you'll toggle selection on focused note.

Re: Allow cursor up to move to the search box
Why not use ctrl+enter. Right now it's just the same as plain enter, that is opening the note?! Still i would be happy to have a more convenient way to focus the search box, maybe alt+arrow+up? Using the two in combination appears to me more attractive than using ctrl+f, because arrow-key combinations are useable well.CintaNotes Developer wrote:I see. Understood. Thanx for clarifyingThomas Lohrum wrote:This is a bit subtle, but CintaNotes mimics Windows Explorer: it has both the focus rectangle and selection.(...)

Ctrl+Enter is already reserved for 'Pasting notes into other apps' feature.
I suggest Ctrl+U. Seems logical and easy to remember.

Fine. Let's do itCintaNotes Developer wrote:I suggest Ctrl+U. Seems logical and easy to remember.
EDIT: Accidentally i have just discovered, that the TAB-key will actually jump between the list-entries and the search box. Thus "TAB" is actually what i was looking for in first place Anyhow adding Ctrl+U to select "untagged" immediately in one step is the right thing to do.
