copy & paste of bullet list

Postby Thomas Lohrum » Tue Nov 12, 2013 8:41 am

Create a simple list:

Example
  • 1234
  • 123
  • 12

Select all of the text, copy and paste to a new note. The bullet marker for the last line will be lost.

Please note, that there is no linefeed after the third line!

Please note, that the first lines must be longer than the last line. In case all lines are equal in length, the bug won't happen.

To select the text, you must not use Ctrl+A. Instead select using the arrow keys,, but be aware not to select a space, which might be after "12".

Hi Thomas,

thanks for the report, I was able to reproduce the issue.
Added to bugtacker, will probably be fixed in 2.5 or 2.6.

BTW soon we'll have the Remarks field ready for testing ;)

Another example of the bullet problem:

Enter a few lines of items, select them all and format as a bullet list:
* one
* two
* three
* four
* five

Cut the third item and then paste it after the first one. The bullets will be mucked up in the second and third rows.

Hi Thomas

I just happened to run into this issue again, wishing there was an outliner capability where I could rearrange the lines (but I don't want to keep adding features into CN and that is potentially a large one).

Small? The bullets are not so small -- the two pixel shift was small: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1775#p8000 :o

cheers
Gunars
