[Import] Import a marked-up text file

Postby rjbull » Mon Feb 24, 2014 11:16 pm

[Import]

Please, is there any hope of a mechanism for importing a lightly marked-up text file? E.g. this fragment of my acronyms list, where each "---+++ CintaNotes +++---" would demarcate the beginning of a new note.

---+++ CintaNotes +++---
CFL

Compact Fluorescent Lamp (one of the various types of low-energy lightbulbs)

---+++ CintaNotes +++---
PSA

Prostate-Specific Antigen

---+++ CintaNotes +++---
BMI

Body Mass Index

---+++ CintaNotes +++---
COBRA

Cabinet Office Briefing Room A

------------------------------------------------
etc.

Thanks...

There's a workaround that you could use:

1) Split your txt file into several using the Chopping List utility:
http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... ping-list/

2) Convert the directory with these txt files into XML using txtdir2xml:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1300

3) Import XML into CintaNotes using File/Import.

Also the idea to support this directly is already on the roadmap,
you can vote for this feature here:
