Hi, thanks for the report!
Can you reliably reproduce the problem?
If so, could you please write step by step how to reproduce it.

Also, do you have any idea why is your database read only?
Thanks!

I select a text,than press ctrl & ins,than the first error appears.
When I click it away, the next error appears.
Why the database is read only?
I hoped you could tell me!

Where do you select text, in the note editor or in the notes list?
Could you check properties of the .db file - does it have "read only" attribute set?
Thanks

I select a text in notepad.
The DB is not read only.

I note your DB is in Program Files - that is protected territory on Vista and onwards with UAC enabled. If you move your DB out of Program Files and into My Documents (a folder you should have full access to), does it resolve the issue?

Ctrl+Ins by default does nothing in a standard CN install - I assume you have customised the normal Ctrl+F12 hotkey? Some programs (eg terminal emulators) make use of that hotkey, so there is potential there for conflicts with CN using the same hotkey (probably not your issue, but thought I would mention it all the same). As an aside, a file can be set as read only by two methods. The first is the Read Only attribute that Alex suggested. The second is by folder/file permissions (ACL's). If a file has read only ACL set on it (or is in a folder with a read only ACL set, and the file permissions aren't set individually), then it will be read only. In your case, read only is not set as the attribute, which means it is the latter. I suppose if a file is on read only media (such as a CD-R, or even some drives if a O/S has read only support for the file system the drive uses), than that would be a third method - but I would think the read only attribute would be set in this case, so it probably would be covered by the first method I mentioned.

Chris is correct, I wonder how you ended up with cintanotes.db being in Program Files?

Also I'd like to see the log. Could you please do the following:

1) Run CintaNotes and activate "Help/Debug/Debug Logging"
2) Try to repeat the problem
3) This will produce the file named "log.1.txt" (either in CN folder,
or in %APPDATA%\CintaNotes) - please send it to support@cintanotes.com

Please note that this file may contain some of your private data, such as tag
names (but no passwords). You may want to edit the file and remove this data
first.

Hope this is not too much to ask, thank you!

The program is run under w7.
I did move the DB to "my documents "as you suggested.
Now it's working like I expected.
Thank you.
