Hi,
why my notes were highlighted by default ? How to turn off the "editor.colors.highlight" in 'cintanotes.settings' file?
Thanks!

Re: turn off highlight ?
Hi,
what exactly do you mean "highlighted by default"? Please give more details:
Are you a new user or the bug came after upgrading to a new version?
Where do the notes come from? etc

Re: turn off highlight ?
Hi,
I am a new user (Protable Version of CintaNotes 2.8.6).
The text would be automatically highlighted when it was saved. I find that highlight colors can be changed by editor the "editor.colors.highlight = #fffaa0" in 'cintanotes.settings' file.
I don't want the note text be highlighted automatically. I think it could be achieved by turn off "editor.colors.highlight", maybe like this "editor.colors.highlight: off" ?
Thanks!

Hi,
Do you mean the area I have highlighted in this screenshot?
http://i.imgur.com/809auUY.png
That is the closest thing I can find to highlighting when I add a new note here.
Regards,
Chris

Thanks for the clarification.
I suspect that this is connected with your font settings.
1) does it happen for all notes regardless of their contents?
2) have you tried changing to another font in Options/Notes List?
3) have you tried applying real hightlight?
4) could you send me your cintanotes.settings file?
thanks!

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your reply.
1) It happen for all notes.
2) I have changed some fonts but it was still happened.
3) I didn't hightlight the text, but ' right mouse click on text --> Format --> Hightlight ' it was applied automatically.
4) My cintanotes.settings file is here http://notepad.cc/share/q7II4ZOyjN (Sorry, I can't upload it as attachment with this error "The extension settings is not allowed.")
I think this issue is closely related with "editor.colors.highlight = #fffaa0" in cintanotes.settings file.
Thanks!

Re: turn off highlight ?
It appears that the highlight button is toggled 'on' in your screenshot - it doesn't disable when you click it? I think the setting you refer to only changes the highlight colour when it is enabled - I don't believe it actually controls whether highlighting is enabled or not. Alex might correct me here - but I thought whether highlighting was on or off was saved into the database file itself, and not cintanotes.settings.

Re: turn off highlight ?
My guess is that CN thinks that the text is hightlighted because you have non-white text background (this comes from your Windows theme/ Control panel settings?).
Please try changing text background to white and tell me if the problem persists.

Hi Alex,
I have changed text background to white and that problem was gone. Thanks very much!
Besides, is there any way to deal with this conflict ?

Re: turn off highlight ?
I need to check. Most probably this is a bug. We'll try to fix it in the next version.
