Hello,
when you press the note button in action center, it will automatically runs the onenote. is there a way to replace it with CintaNotes?
I can't stand onenote. I can't turn off spellcheck, I can't see where are my notes stored.. ..I need to get rid of that nonsense.
I've tried to change it in control panel, but no success. Maybe through the registry...?
Thanks
I know it is matter of habit to use keyboard shortcuts or taskbar icon to bring up the CintaNotes window, but this would be like icing on the cake. sweet and perfect.

Hi Mirakodus,
Thanks a lot for your message and the wish to make CN your default note taking app!
Haven't tried it myself, but take a look here:

Thank you very much for the link, Alex?
Following the keywords, I've found a guide:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/kim ... te-button/
However, I am not sure how to modify the command line to use CintaNotes:
onenote-cmd://quicknote?onOpen=typing
red is shell command for application (?)
blue is command / launch parameter (?)
I tried to use direct path to the executable (C:\\.......CintaNotes.exe), but without success.

Actually, "red" is a custom-registered protocol.
It seems that you can only launch Universal Windows Apps from there, and CintaNotes is a classic Windows app..
Try associating *.db files with CN (options/system) and then put a link to your notebook, like this:
file:///C:/CintaNotes/cintanotes.db

I have modified the path to my database file, restarted windows eplorer, and now when I press the note button, nothing happens.

Thank you for your patience and time.
I did not resolved the issue, but will watch over this topic if someone comes with more elegant solution.
