Not dead, but certainly in a crisis caused by a too abrupt switch of technology between versions 3 and 4.
It makes little sense to spend time on new updates to the 3.x because of the huge amount of work needed for v 4.

But probably releasing a bugfix update would be still a good idea. I think I'll do one in October.

That's the good thing about the future - there are many Octobers :D

Just kidding. CN is working well for me and I'm not waiting on anything. I did just add a suggestion to an old roadmap item though.

Gunars, glad to see you're still here ;)

Ah yes, time flies. Every time I want to get something done with 3.x, I think about all the double work it will take to
port the changes to the 4.x branch ;) But still I think that a minor update is long overdue.
Of course there won't be any big features in it, just minor bugfixes. But still better than nothing, right? ))

Regarding 4.x, it is going along, but still great number of features of 3.x still need to be ported/reimplemented.
Don't want to publish it before it can be even compared feature-wise with 3.x.

Currently I plan the first public beta of CN4.0 for April 2022.

Maybe you meant "can't wait"? :D Or have you been to the future and already decided you didn't like it?

Of course not! Lifetime license holders won't have to pay for v4.

So... April is almost over. Is the beta going to happen? Is CN still being worked on?

Hi, sardaukar_siet!

Well, yes, CN is still being worked on. But due to recent political events I have much less time for it, so I'm afraid to say that the public beta will have to be shifted to at least end of summer.

BTW: Please know that I don't support the horrible war that the Russian government has started and leads on my behalf. I have relatives living in Ukraine.

As they say, the first casualty of a war is truth...

Check with the World Economic Forum to see their next move.

Probably more "truthful" than any weather forecast.
